The Vinal Avenue String Band consisted of Kris Delmhorst on fiddle, guitar, & vocals;  Sean Staples on mandolin, guitar & vocals; and Ry Cavanaugh on guitar, harmonica & vocals. The repetoire included songs by all three band members and a smorgasbord of covers from traditional fiddle tunes to songs from Merle Haggard to Prince.  VASB played two unforgettable tours in Ireland and for several years played every Monday night at the Somerville, MA bar Tir na nOg. This 1999 album is a warts-and-all live recording capturing something of the spirit of that weekly phenomenon.
